We here at Leeds Maths Tutor will provide as much support as we can for GCSE maths for adults and older learners. The tutoring service that we provide is there for learners of all ages to use with many other service partners that we recommend to assist in the GCSE maths courses.
Many adult learners that are wanting to study and work through GCSE maths think their options are limited, but there are quite a few options available. Here are a few tips on how you should approach GCSE maths.
- Look around for GCSE maths for adults courses. There are many different service providers out there with GCSE maths courses for adults that you can enrol in.
- It is highly likely that most adult learners haven’t studied maths in quite a while, so brush up on the basics while you can. Just do a few tasks here and there of basic arithmetic and algebra to get in the rhythm of solving mathematical problems again. Here is a free GCSE course.
- To be good at maths you will need to constantly practise. Try to set aside a bit of time everyday to practise through different problems.
- Make the most of the online resources available to you. The free resources are great for GCSE maths and can really help you, especially MME.
- Knowing your strengths and weaknesses of a topic is important as well so take mock exams to see how much you’re progressing and what you need to be studying more.
Studying again isn’t easy, especially with maths, so it will require your patience and dedication. It is normal to find it difficult but try your best to stick with it and the progress you’re making will become clearer over time.
